GET INVOLVED
PSAS is pile of huge, complicated, existentially terrifying system engineering projects that we think are pretty damn cool. The best part is, anyone anyone can help! Yes, even you. We have no idea what we're doing, and you can join us in having no idea what we're doing! That's part of the fun of working on cutting-edge, real-world projects where no one has the answers.
You don't need any training or permission to get started. Just show up! We take all types and majors, including your type and major.
The best way to get involved is to just show up at a meeting! We meet almost every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm (yes, even during the summer) on both Zoom and in person at PSU. The zoom link in the Google Calendar below - we try to keep it updated. We usually meet in person in the "rocket room" - Room EB 91 on the lower level of the PSU Engineering Building.
Once every quarter we do an orientation meeting. Again, it'll be in our google calendar, and will be online and in-person. These are a great way of getting started, but don't feel like you have to wait for one. We also have one of our orientations on YouTube!
You don't have to be a Portland State student to be involved!
Whether you're a high school or university student looking to get into the Aerospace industry or a retired engineer looking to help mentor the next generation of students, come build rockets and satellites with us! Here's some more information if you are a:
PSAS is an ALL-VOLUNTEER group, no obligation is ever necessary.

PSAS Tooling & Gearing Up
Below are some of the most often used tools in PSAS and linked tutorials
Note: EPL stands for the Electronics Prototyping Laboratory at PSU. They are able to provide students with services/tools for developing prototypes.
